In the Bible, "Abba" is an Aramaic term for "Father" that denotes a close, intimate relationship with God, used by Jesus and later by the Apostle Paul to show that believers have been adopted into God's family. It signifies a term of affectionate trust, like a child addressing their father, but also carries a deep sense of reverence. God is the Source of all being, the God and Father of all.
The Sabbath
The Sabbath, sanctified and blessed by God, was designed as His great memorial of creation. It is ever to stand unmoved, a rock of offense to the Christian world, as was Christ to the Jewish nation. The Sabbath is the test today, as Christ was the test when He was in our world in human form. The rejection of the Son of God decided the eternal destiny of the Jews. So will the rejection of God’s holy memorial decide the fate of Christians.

Genesis 2:1-3 — "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."
Exodus 20:8-11 — "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."
Ezekiel 20:20 — "And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God."
Isaiah 56:1-2 — "Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil."
Isaiah 58:13-14 — "If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."
Isaiah 66:22-23 — "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD."

• Which day is the genuine Bible SABBATH, the true Lord's day, the real Christian SABBATH? (Isaiah 66:22-24; Matthew 12:8; Mark 2:28; Luke 6:5; Luke 23:56; Revelation 1:10)
The weekly, 7th-day, SABBATH (Fri. sunset to Sat. sunset) was given to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden (Genesis 2:1-3; Hebrews 4:1-10) and it is also found in the heart of the 10 commandment law (Exodus 20:8-11; the 4th commandment). The Israelites were required to keep God's law, including the seventh-day Sabbath, even before the law was given in awful grandeur on Mt. Sinai. (Exodus 16:4-30)
The weekly, 1st-day, SUNday, also known as the venerable day of the sun, is the day designated by the man of sin, the Antichrist, the papacy, as a day of worship. Frankly speaking, there is no biblical justification for the keeping of SUNday as a sacred or holy day, nor is there justification for neglecting to keep holy the 7th day SABBATH, the 4th commandment in God's eternal law, which is a transcript of His own divine character. God calls the 7th day "My Holy Day."
In the Ten Commandment Law: the first 4 commandments show us how to love God supremely and the last 6 commandments show us how to love our neighbor.
In Christianity, an important aspect of saving souls, according to Scripture, is the keeping of the ten commandments of God by the mighty power of an indwelling Savior. We are each required to keep holy the specific day of rest and worship that was established by our Creator, from the beginning, in the garden of Eden—the 7th day in the weekly cycle. Thus, the vital question, Sabbath or Sunday? does have a clear answer in Scripture, a plain "thus saith the LORD."
• Which is more important? — a "thus saith tradition", a "thus saith the church", or a "thus saith the LORD"?
The Antichrist power, the man of sin, the roman papacy has thought to change times and laws (Daniel 7:25). Church history shows this to be so. According to God's Holy Word, we are to worship and rest and keep holy the Creator's Sabbath, the seventh day of the week [Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Romans 3:31, Revelation 12:17;14:12;22:14]; not the Antichrist's Sunday, the first day of the week, a common working day, the venerable day of the sun, established by the papal power. Is your loyalty to ABBA, God our Father, or to the day dedicated to the SUN god? Where do you stand? Beware listening to family, pastors or the various churches if their testimony in any way contradicts the plain Word of God. We are not saved as groups or churches, we are saved as individuals, intelligent beings who each belong to God and He holds us accountable for our own salvation, our own choices. Don't let any other person tell you your duty in religious matters. Take God at His Word and refuse to listen to fallen men and apostate churches. Study to show yourself approved unto God, rightly dividing the Word of God. Isaiah 8:20 is the test of all true doctrine and teaching.

Among professed Christians there are idolaters, men and women who are not sealed by God. Many have subverted the Christian faith into idolatry, giving to a man-made institution [Sunday 1st day Sabbath] the glory and honor that God requires for His Sabbath day [7th day Sabbath], and compelling others to worship this idol. Such ones will surely be visited with God’s retributive judgments, which are to be poured out without mixture of mercy upon the unrepentant despisers of God’s law.

The Sabbath
What a subject of contemplation is the holy Sabbath! Appointed as a day of rest for the millions of earth, it presents its holy presence once in seven days to cheer the careworn and weary, and to give them the privilege of attending the house of God and to enter more fully into his service. Stretching away back to the dawn of creation, it took its appointed place in the first week of time, and was an eyewitness of those grand events which then took place. The first, second and third days, and so on to the sixth, had each their appropriate work, and each saw new creations spring forth and take their destined place among the “wonderful works of God;” but on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” Genesis 2:2. Think of the seventh, the day hallowed and set apart by its Maker to be a day of rest, extending through all the dispensations of time, and even over into that rest that remains for the people of God. ¶ The world has already witnessed more than three hundred thousand of these precious days; and I tremble to think how they have been spent. While a comparatively small class have observed the seventh day as the Sabbath, how many millions have trampled it under their feet, though God has said, and angels dare not disobey his commandments, “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.” But man puts forth his hand and pollutes it. Man, the most dependent yet the most presumptuous of all his creatures! ¶ How careful then ought we to be to keep this great command, with the other nine, lest we come short of his promise of eternal life, which he has promised to those that love and obey him.
Rome's Challenge refers to a 1893 series of articles published by the Catholic Mirror that questioned why Protestants observed Sunday as the Sabbath instead of the biblical Saturday Sabbath. The challenge argues that by adopting Sunday, Protestants are relying on the authority of the Catholic Church rather than "the Bible only".

... Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Already the judgments of God are abroad in the land, as seen in storms, in floods, in tempests, in earthquakes, in peril by land and by sea. The great I AM is speaking to those who make void His law. When God's wrath is poured out upon the earth, who will then be able to stand? Now is the time for God's people to show themselves true to principle. When the religion of Christ is most held in contempt, when His law is most despised, then should our zeal be the warmest and our courage and firmness the most unflinching. To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few—this will be our test. At this time we must gather warmth from the coldness of others, courage from their cowardice, and loyalty from their treason. The nation will be on the side of the great rebel leader.
WHO WILL BE WARNED?
And the earth is becoming corrupt. Religious liberty will be little respected by professing Christians, for many of them have no understanding of spiritual things.
We cannot fail to see that the end of the world is soon to come. Satan is working upon the minds of men and women, and many seem filled with a desire for amusement and excitement. As it was in the days of Noah, every kind of evil is on the increase. Divorce and marriage is the order of the time. At such a time as this, the people who are seeking to keep the commandments of God should look for retired places away from the cities. Some must remain in the cities to give the last note of warning, but this will become more and more dangerous to do. Yet the truth for today must come to the world—truth as spoken by the lips of Him who understood the end from the beginning.
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13, 14.
As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be when the Son of man be revealed. In the days of Noah the majority of the people were opposed to truth because truth restricted their licentiousness and their violence and crime. The majority were opposed to righteousness and to the observance of the law of God. Truth found no place in mind or heart or works.
Christ is coming. We are charged with this message: Christ is coming to judge the world for her iniquity, and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Then the great multitude will be without God and without hope in the world.
One of the marked features of Noah's day was the intense worldliness that prevailed. Eating and drinking and dressing, buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage, marked all classes, high and low. It is not sinful to supply the necessities of life. This is a duty. But when eating and drinking and dressing are made the supreme objects of life, then they become sin. God has provided food with which to supply hunger, but when eating and drinking are carried to excess they become gluttony and drunkenness, and this is sin.
That which was primarily a duty is in our day carried to excess, and the results of gluttony and drunkenness are theft, murder, lust, and the gratification of every base passion and indulgence in every kind of satanic cruelty. Many, even of those who have their names in church books, are a great dishonor to the one whose name they profess. The Son of God gave His precious life that He might redeem all who would be converted and forsake their unrighteous ways.
Who will be warned? We say again, “Out of the cities.” Do not consider it a great deprivation that you must go into the hills and mountains, but seek for that retirement where you can be alone with God, to learn His will and way.
